01 · About

I am Shlomo.

I built this because I was tired of being the man who knew every diet and could not stay on any of them. I had been yo-yo dieting most of my adult life. Keto, low-carb, calorie counting, the cheese diet, the all-meat one, the no-meat one, whichever one a friend was running that month.

The thing that finally broke the loop happened at the shiva for my grandmother. I ate Carlos and Gabby’s and Entenmann’s for a week straight. That was not new behavior. The new part was that I noticed it, sitting there, and realized I was thirty-something years old and had no idea how to feed myself in a way I could actually live with.

So I went and figured it out. The Steady Body System is what I figured out.

02 · The philosophy

What calm eating actually sounds like.

Fed properly, the surface goes still.

Your body is not your enemy. It is not lazy, it is not broken, and it is not the reason your last six diets failed. Your body is a faithful animal that needs to be fed properly. When it is, it gets quiet. When it is not, it gets loud.

A calm body sounds like this: you eat lunch and you do not think about food again until dinner. Sweets stop yelling at you from across the room. The 4pm crash that has been part of your life since you started working office hours stops happening. You go to a kiddush and you eat what looks good and you go home, and there is no spiral after.

That is not discipline. That is biology working with you instead of against you.

03 · Boundaries

What I am not.

I am not a doctor. I am not a registered dietitian. I am not a nutritionist. I am not a therapist. I am not a guru.

What I am.

I am a coach with an MS in Industrial-Organizational Psychology and a long personal history with food I had to figure out.

If you have a medical condition, work with your doctor on the medical part. I work on the behavioral part, alongside that.

04 · Personal

Where I am, who is around me.

I live in Ramat Beit Shemesh, in Israel. Originally from New Jersey. Three kids, a wife who has heard every version of this program at the kitchen table for the last two years, and a community that has been generous about letting me work this out in public.

I am not someone who has it all figured out. I am someone who is striving to be a little better today than I was yesterday, and who has gotten enough useful results from this method that I want to bring other men into it.

The cohort runs on WhatsApp and Zoom, so timezones do not matter. New York, Lakewood, Los Angeles, Toronto, London, Yerushalayim — same program, same cohort.

05 · Credentials

What I bring formally.

Formal training

MS, Industrial-Organizational Psychology.

The work I do here sits at the intersection of organizational change theory, behavior change, and nutrition. The change-management piece is what I bring formally. The nutrition piece I have studied on my own for years.
